Toti Yale: about the importance of teaching critical thinking
I’m the Ceo and Founder of Education and English for You, a non-profit organization that fosters childhood education, gender equality and English language under the volunteering work. Firstly, we have created a social volunteering school where we permitted 300 children coming from poor families to learn the basic education. In 2015, thanks to the support of U.S through its Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire, we have rehabilitated the latrines of six public school of 8000 students in Bingerville. Each year, we provide many school kits to the kids of our community thanks to the support of International Community of Abidjan and Didier Drogba Foundation. We provided benches to our local school EPP Anono4, thanks to the support of International University of Grand-Bassam. We deliver free leadership learning based on reading to 60 girls thanks to the support of LitWorld and Global G.L.O.W both in U.S. Thanks to Know My World, an Organization in U.S, our community students have been working through intercultural digital learning with the kids of Canada, U.S, Mexico and Ukraine. We deliver free of charge English learning to the kids of community. I’m Alumni of YalitechCamp in Ghana, Young African Leadership Initiative Alumni in Accra, Ghana, Cohort4 and another Alumni of the Summer Residency in U.S, Maine, at Institute for Humane Education.
